Thanksgiving
is an interesting time of year for entrepreneurs. I don't know about
you but for me this time of year can be trying. I find there's a huge push of energy for entrepreneurs in the Fall. A push to build. A push to create. A push for results.Often
all this pushing leaves us plain old tired - if not utterly exhausted.
Mentally exhausted, physically exhausted, and spiritually exhausted.Then
come the holidays which are often their own form of exhausting. As
entrepreneurs it's easy to go through the holidays feeling depleted.
Whatever energy is left over from all the pushing in the Fall, the
holidays usually sucks it right out of us.That's why I am sending you this message today.I want to remind you why you're doing this. Why you have chosen this path for yourself.What
are all of us really trying to build for ourselves? Why are we going
big in life and risking a lot when we could be playing it a lot safer?
The
typical belief is that the main reasons are financial. More money.
After all that was a huge part of your reason for starting down this
path, right? It certainly was for me.But if we really get to the core of the matter that's not why you're doing this. You may think it is but it's not. Money is definitely a by-product of what you want. But I assure you it's not the thing you really want.It's taken me almost eight years of full-time entrepreneurship to realize what it really is we're all after. Myself included.This journey is, was, has always been and will always be about one thing:You making a difference in someone else's life.Think
about it. If you were told you had one day left to live would you
spend that day making money? No. You would spend that day sharing,
giving and being around the people you love.More specifically you would spend that day expressing thanks and gratitude. And not just to your family and friends. You
would express thanks and gratitude to every single person you came into
contact with - the clerk at the gas station, the server at the
restaurant, the person who collects your trash....everyone.You
would suddenly see that everyone has gifts - gifts they are actively
sharing with the world in their own ways at all times.
Except you've been too busy to notice. I have too.You
yourself have amazing gifts to share. Through Soulionaire I will help
you mine the gold you have and turn it into a business you love waking
up to each day.But
tomorrow...let tomorrow be about other people. Not just your family
and friends or the football players who are entertaining you. Let
tomorrow be a recognition of the amazing gifts you are being given by
other people in your life in every single moment - gifts you sometimes
see but rarely give thanks for or acknowledge.Enjoy your day.
